She's willing to give anyone a chance and would do anything for her friends. She's incredibly loyal. Imber can also be overly emotional. She gets depressed easily, but does her best to hide it. It’s not something she wants her friends to know about though she’s sure some have suspicions. She also suffers from panic attacks and anxiety when she’s put into a situation she has no control over. She hates confrontation between other people and will try to put a stop to it as soon as possible. She often steps in and defends other people which in turn gets her in trouble with housemates and other students. She regrets things as soon as she does them and tries to make them right...which usually only makes things worse. She can be outgoing when she wants to be, but usually is not. She will give her opinion in matters if she feels she can add to the conversation. She's very curious and loves to learn new things. She's an over achiever and will do almost anything to get a good grade – especially in potions. Imber gets nervous when Professor Snape walks around the classroom checking work and that usually makes her goof up her potion in one way or another. If she had more self-confidence in her potion making she could probably do a lot better in the class, but it doesn’t look like that will happen any time soon. So, because of this she reads up on potions to try to supplement her knowledge since she isn’t a natural potion maker. Another flaw is the fact that she feels guilt for her mother’s death. She feels like it was her fault and never really came to terms with it. This, coupled with her depression and anxiety, make her feel like her life is falling apart at the seams.

Her (witch) mother died shortly after giving birth to her and she was raised by her Muggle father in northern England. She didn't know she was a witch until she got the acceptance letter from Hogwarts, though she always knew she was 'different'. Her father felt it was the magical abilities that Iliana had that killed her and didn't want his newborn daughter to go through that. Since she got the letter he had slowly started to accept his daughter as a witch. Imber has embraced magic and school and is trying to figure out her place in the Muggle and Wizarding world, but a lot of the time she feels like she doesn't belong in either of them.

During the summer between her fourth and fifth year at Hogwarts she was attacked one night when she was home alone by a muggle. Her father had gone to the local market to pick up a few groceries. He hadn't been gone for more than 15 minutes, but that was all it took. The intruder hadn't expected her to be there. Imber had just gotten back from school a few days earlier and he was just as shocked to see her as she was him. Imber didn't even think to use magic because one, she didn't have her wand on her at the moment...her father had strict rules about her wand. As soon as she came home her wand was to stay in her school trunk. And two, it had been bored into her head that she wasn't allowed to use magic outside of Hogwarts. He came to his senses first and he grabbed her arm and shoved her against a nearby wall. Imber tried to yell for help but he quickly put his hand around her throat, making it difficult for her to take a deep enough breath to be able scream. She did, however, try to get away, but he had a knife and stabbed her twice, once on her lower right abdomen and once just under her left bottom rib. Once the thief was sure Imber wouldn't be able to fight back he quickly ransacked the house taking anything valuable that he could carry. He got away before anyone else got there. She was in shock and starting to lose consciousness when her father came home. She doesn't really remember what happened after that. The next thing she does remember is waking up in the hospital the next day. Imber feels this has changed her forever. She's angrier now, she doesn't sleep a lot because she's suffering from nightmares, and she only eats when she has to because she's never hungry. Only one person in the Wizarding world knows what happened - Arrah Nicoli, the school counselor...or at least that's what Imber thinks she is; she has no reason to think otherwise. This could change at any moment though, because Imber never knows when she'll tell someone. She was surprised that she told Arrah, and she could surprise herself again soon. Since the attack Imber has been doing things she wouldn't usually do. She talks with Vincent Crabbe on, what she thinks, is a regular basis, even though her friends tell her he's dangerous. She has been taking more risks and is not the shy and reserved girl she once was.

Shortly after starting her fifth year at Hogwarts Imber found out her father had died. He died of natural muggle causes...a blood clot. This devastated her as she realised she is now an orphan and needed to move in with the only relative she has ever known – her Aunt Iris. Iris is her father's sister and knows about Imber being a witch. At first the two didn't really get along, but after the summer holiday leading up to Imber's 6th year at Hogwarts they grew very close and learn to depend on one another.

Your characters view on Voldemort: She didn't grow up in the wizarding world so she doesn't know as much about him as others, but she does find him scary. And not just him, his followers as well. Since he's come back Imber has seen the change in the purebloods...or at least most of the purebloods. Most are more careful about what they say and how they act, she was taking a lead from them until this year, now, for the most part, she doesn't care who she offends. She did kick Draco Malfoy in the she doesn't really fear him like some of the others in the school. Imber does have some empathy towards Harry Potter and talked to him a bit when they were in the infirmary together. She will defend what she feels is right and will fight alongside those who feel the same way, though she is unsure if she could be of any help.

Most disliked subject and why: Potions
Favourite Professor and why: Flitwick, because he's a good teacher and he's enjoyable to learn from.
Most disliked Professor and why: Snape, because he's always picking on people and it makes her angry and because he makes her nervous so she goofs up her potions. But she doesn't strongly dislike any of her professors.

Likes: Talking, reading, writing, Charms, Care of Magical Creatures, doing certain homework assignments, Astronomy, sweets, pumpkin juice, butterbeer and Hogsmeade

Plans for your character's future: I'd like her to graduate from Hogwarts after her seventh year and be comfortable with who she is. She wants to be a healer and was working with Madame Pomfrey until she left the school when there was an altercation between some of the staff members.
