During this exercise, the team stands in a circle at equal distances from each other. The trainer points to one person in the circle. This person then chooses someone from the circle that he doesn’t know well. They go somewhere in the room and sit or stand together. The trainer points to another person in the circle who than does the same. He chooses someone he doesn’t know well. They also go somewhere and sit or stand together. The trainer does this until everyone is paired-up. If there is an uneven number of people the trainer can pair-up with the remaining person. In these pairs, person A tells person B about their biggest blunder. Person A listens carefully to the story and remembers as much as possible. When person A finishes the story, the roles switch. Person B tells his biggest blunder to person A, and person A listens carefully. When everyone has finished their stories, they go back and stand in the circle again. One by one, each team member tells the story he just heard, as if it were his own. Everyone listens carefully and tries to remember as much as possible. Now the trainer makes new pairs. Each person must choose someone with whom they share a different vision for the company. When the pairs have been made, person A tells person B what his vision for the future of the company is. Person B remembers as much as he can, and then they switch roles. Next, everyone goes back to the circle and shares the vision they just heard, as if it were their own. Everyone listens carefully and tries to remember as much as possible. The better they remember the stories, the better they will do in the next round. Now, the trainer points to a random person in the circle who has to tell the blunder story which another random person the trainers points to, told before. And tells the blunder story as it was his own. This means he is actually telling her blunder story. Now you point to someone who has to tell the future vision which another perons told the group. And tells that future vision as it was his own. Actually he is now telling the future vision of the original person. Of course, this exercise can be done with many different subjects that are applicable to the team. The trainer leads the exercise and gives feedback when necessary.
