Hello friends once again I welcome you all to my channel Retro Indian in my last video I told that I belong to a family who has its origin in Delhi even our forefathers lived and belong to Delhi so I have lot of memories of Chandni Chowk Delhi out of those memories of my childhood days I recall an old man a chaat vendor who came daily to our courtyard he used to prepare kulia chaat I am sharing the same recipe with you all it is a very simple chaat its speciality is that it is very healthy it is non fried and all its ingredients are healthy it mainly includes fruits and vegetables t can be served for any party starter on any occasion for your guests lets begin these are the main ingredients basically any fruit or vegetable that can be hollowed is used in this chaat here we have taken cucumber sweet potato tomato potato kiwi you can take pineapple and banana also other ingredients are small chick peas they are much smaller than normal chick peas it is also known as “chani” in case you cannot get them you can go for whole green gram give them two whistles or as required by adding little salt next is pomegranate seeds black salt chaat masala in case you do not have this you can use red chilli powder and roasted cumin powder powder sugar to add little sweetness lemon juice this is the shape you have to choose as it becomes easy to hollow them the potato and sweet potato is roasted approximately on 150 degree for about half an hour the skin gets wrinkled and it is ready in this season sweet potato is available easily at vegetable shop choose oval shaped tomato and potato make it half to make two pieces and hollow it I will show how to hollow it use the peeler and gently remove in round shape do not take it to deep otherwise it will leak we will fill each one of them now first we will add black salt add according to piece size and your taste next goes in chaat masala this is spicy so add this also accordingly next we add powder sugar about a pinch in each next goes in lemon juice since kiwi is sour in nature so adjust the consistency traditionally it is mixed by finger so that the walls of kulliya is well coated with spices now we will fill each one with chick peas and garnish with pomegranate seeds finally add the same spices once again it will give a perfect taste to each kulliya friends our kulle platter is ready to serve it looks nice and mouth watering this is the only chaat which is not fried it is very healthy and best for health conscious people this can be made and kept for some time this can be served as a starter for any occasion serve your guests with pride an authentic chaat from Old Delhi they will always remember it and then you will definitely remember me too.
